...but it doesn't hold a candle to the Viper in terms of raw, unadulterated lust, in my opinion.
If money were no object....well, I'd buy both. But if money were no object and I could only buy one, I'd buy the Viper every time. I don't care if it's not as quick, or if it's a beast to drive, or if it's hot and loud.
I would choose that mind-numbingly sexy body and that V10 wail.
Every. Damn. Time.
That's all.

I would have agreed with you before the C7 was released. But now? Now I'd take the C7 with the Z51 package, and magnetic suspension over the Viper.

Yeah, if I was buying based on performance, I'd go Z06, but I just don't like the way the C7 looks compared to the Viper. Too angular for my taste.

Different strokes I suppose, I love angular design. Coincidentally, I also love Caddy's angular designs as well.

Thanks for the nice pic. Not a Viper fanboy but I can appreciate flattering/exciting photography. Too bad it wasn't 1080p....

For sure. Every Viper is special. I still turn my head for ten year old Vipers, and I won't do that for a 1 y/o ZR1.

I'm Corvette all the way, and I can't wait to see what they're going to pull out of the C7 ZR1.
That being said, the current Viper GTS body style is damn good looking. The Italian influences are obvious and mesh well with the original Viper design. Makes me think of a modern 250 GTO.

Exactly. Even here in NE Iowa I see ZR1s pretty regularly. I think I can count on less than two hands the number of Vipers I've seen in my lifetime.

You are right. I see ZR1's quite often now, I'm not all that excited about it. But, the Viper? I barely see them.
Unfortunately this also means people aren't buying enough of them. It's a hard sell when the Corvette offers similar performance at a much lower price.

Out of a race track I've seen like 2 or 3 Vipers. Corvettes? I see at least 6 or more a day.

The Viper is good looking, but nope, Corvette is still better
The only thing the Viper has over the vette IMO is rarity, but there's a reason for that...

Personally, Ill take the Corvette everytime. But, I do love me a Viper, you just cant hate on them for everything they stand for. However, that V10 sound, sorry, doesnt do it for me.

Viper ain't got sheeyit on the C2 Stingray or the legacy of the ZR-1.
I do like them, though.
